Our services for postpartum care
We help mothers feel their best after childbirth. Our postpartum care services include:
- Postpartum follow-up care: We recommend a follow-up visit no later than 12 weeks after labor and delivery. Your OB-GYN makes sure you’re healing well. We also check your blood pressure and heart health and ensure that you don’t have any abnormal bleeding.
- Postpartum depression treatment: Part of postpartum care is an evaluation of your emotional and psychological health. All too often, women assume that the “baby blues” don’t require treatment. But postpartum depression is a serious medical condition that we can manage with therapy or medication.
- Breastfeeding support: Many women face breastfeeding challenges after giving birth. Our board-certified lactation consultants help you manage your milk supply and ensure that breastfeeding is comfortable and productive for you and your child.
- High-risk health assessments: Women who had high-risk pregnancies, difficult births or other health challenges such as gestational diabetes may need extra care. We carefully monitor your recovery and discuss your plans for future pregnancies.
