Cancer screenings for women

Aurora BayCare follows the American Cancer Society’s guidelines for cancer screenings. However, it’s important to talk to your doctor and build a screening plan for your age and risk level. We recommend:

  • Breast cancer screening starting at age 45 with a mammogram every year
  • Cervical cancer screening starting at age 25 with a Pap smear every 3 years
  • Colon cancer screening starting at age 45 with colonoscopy every 10 years
