About 50 local EMS professionals from across the community attended the Aurora BayCare Medical Center EMS Case Studies on Tuesday, September 26 to further their education. Attendees observed and learned from three community experts on a variety of topics.
The speakers for this event included:
- Dr. Ziad Darkhabani, stroke and interventional neurologist at Aurora BayCare, who presented on the Future of Stroke Management.
- Dr. Cory Vogel, Aurora BayCare emergency medicine physician, presenting on Pre-hospital Assessment and Critical Thinking in Chest Trauma.
- Officer Robert Messer, Ashwaubenon public safety, presenting the EMS Role in Identifying Human Trafficking and What You Can Do to Help.
These case studies take place twice a year at Aurora BayCare Medical Center and are intended to educate the EMS community on recent emergency medicine news, procedures, and skills. Certificates were handed out to EMS participants at this event for attendance and continuing their education.
