A record breaking number of EMS professionals from Northeast Wisconsin and surrounding communities joined us for our EMS case studies on Wednesday, March 7. Over 80 first responders and medical students attended the educational meeting to further their education and learn from Aurora BayCare physicians experience in treating the following:
- Dr. Bob Zemple,emergency medicine physician, who presented on anticoagulants in All Bleeding Stops…Eventually
- Dr. Lonika Sood, internal medicine physician, who presented on Exploring the Breathtaking World of Pulmonary Embolism
- Dr. Dan Gale,emergency medicine physician, presenting on anaphylaxis in Get Your Popcorn, Peanuts, Anaphylaxis
Twice a year we host EMS case studies at Aurora BayCare Medical Center and they are intended to provide continuing education to the EMS community. Topics covered at this event include recent emergency medicine news, procedures, and skills. Certificates are handed out to EMS participants at this event for attendance and continuing their education.
