Green Bay, Wis. - Aurora BayCare Medical Center and the City of Kaukauna today announced plans for Aurora BayCare to build a new clinic, ambulatory surgery center and urgent care center near Interstate 41 and Highway 55 in the city of Kaukauna. The new facility will offer services including outpatient surgery, urgent care plus, primary care and specialty care.
"In a growing community like Kaukauna and the surrounding area, it's important for high-quality health care to also be local," said Dan Meyer, president of Aurora BayCare Medical Center. "This proposed new facility increases access to integrated health care for our current patients in Outagamie County and provides options for employers and residents in this vibrant region."
The site is a 17-acre parcel in the City of Kaukauna business park on Arbor Way, near the intersection of Interstate 41 and Highway 55. The 72,000-square foot building will be situated on land in Commerce Crossing.
"We look forward to working with Aurora BayCare to increase the health care services for residents in Kaukauna," said Kaukauna Mayor Anthony Penterman. "We recognize that many of our residents travel for health care services, and it is our civic duty to ensure that they have convenient access to health care. The ease of access at this location, as well as the population growth in our city makes a new health center a wise choice for everyone involved. This is certainly a catalyst for the growth of this corridor."
Additional services to be provided include physical therapy and rehabilitation, occupational therapy, lab services and diagnostics and imaging, including mobile MRI. Estimated opening of the new facility is slated for summer 2020.
