Athletes who enjoy staying fit and being active have the opportunity to participate in several different athletic events coming up in the next few months. Thanks to Aurora Bay Care's Endurance Series, many people are able to compete and test their stamina in events such as: triathlons, bike races, duathlons, half ironman's and much more.
- The 13th Annual Aurora BayCare Triathlon took place on June 3rd, 2018. The triathlon was at Ashwaubomay Park on a warm Sunday morning. Friends and family members came out and supported their loved ones as they competed in the triathlon. It was a perfect day for first timers as well as experienced triathletes to kick off their triathlon season.
- The Wisconsin Toughman is a half ironman where athletes will compete and swim along the Winnebago shoreline, and bike and run through High Cliff State Park. High Cliff State Park is located at N7630 State Park Rd, Sherwood, WI 54169. The event took place on Saturday, June 23rd.
- This endurance series also includes the Aurora BayCare Green Bay Duathlon which will take place on October 20th, 2018. The event is a 2 mile run, followed by a 19 mile bike ride, and finished off with another 2 mile run. Registration for the event begins at 6-7:15am, and the event will kick off at 7:30am. The duathlon is also open to relay teams. Family Relay Teams can include immediate family members, grandparents, aunts, uncles or siblings. One participant must be 16 years old or younger. This course is especially designed for parents and children. All relay teams can be made up of 2 or 3 persons. There are also Co-Ed, All Male and All Female relay teams Registration is 4-6 p.m. Friday and again 6-7:15 a.m. Saturday. The event steps off at 7:30 a.m.
The Aurora BayCare Endurance Series began in 2005 with five summer-time events. Today, the Endurance Series has 13 events that include running, biking, adventure races, triathlons, duathlons and more. These events are for anyone who enjoys being fit and staying active all year round.
Our event organizers work hard to create the best possible atmosphere for people participating in these events. They strive to maintain high end services such as: immediate results, low-cost fees, training clinics, course talks, computer chip timing, numbered bike racks, and a lot food and fun for everyone.
