Performance Arts Medicine Program
For every flawless performance, a performer has endured hours of intense
training. The training schedules compounded with the vigorous practices can lead
to injuries resulting in unwanted time off. The Performance Arts Medicine
Program at Aurora BayCare is dedicated to the prevention and treatment of
arts-related disorders. The program also provides individualized training
programs for optimizing performance by meeting the unique demands of the
performing artist.
Program goals:
- Take a primary leadership role in meeting the health needs of the
performing artist.
- Form partnership with local, regional and national institutions to
promote a multi-disciplinary approach to wellness in the performing arts
community.
- Promote education through local workshops and classes for the performing
artists and performing arts educators.
- Enhance individual performance by creating personalized training
programs.
